The 2011 Perodua Alza M2 Edition will be available for booking from 1st April 2011 onwards, the company has announced. Priced at RM 69,990 (OTR with insurance), the same price as for the Alza Advanced automatic variant, the Alza M2 Edition will be limited to 500 units, a sales target that Perodua expects to hit in a few months.
Previously announced as the Alza Exclusive Edition, the Alza M2 Edition is a special-edition Alza variant introduced to commemorate a visit by former Malaysia Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Perodua’s Rawang facility on 26th January. Perodua has pledged to donate RM 1000 for the sale of every Alza M2 Edition unit, totalling RM 500,000, to the Perdana Leadership Foundation.
Named after the M2, a code name given to the second national car project which came to be known as Perodua, the Alza M2 Edition features a unique M2 grade mark, a special Midnight Blue colour, custom leather seat covers and custom carpet mats—on top of the equipments already on the range-topping Alza Advanced automatic variant.
